I often find myself talking with other moms, dads, and even family relatives about the food we eat. I consider myself a visual person. So, when I go food shopping, I like to know where the food came from, how it was produced, what machines made the food I’m eating, or feeding my child. With that always running in my mind, I choose food as wisely as I can. Eating organic isn’t just because it’s a green thing to do. Of course it’s better for the earth, but more importantly, it’s better for our bodies. The best thing we can do is grow our own organic food. And so this is what I find myself talking about most of the time. I guess you can say it’s my passion, along with natural childbirth. I won’t go on that subject right now, but it does tie in with making a wise health choice for you and your baby. Unlike my family, I find it hard to eat out at most places. I know that everything I put into my body should be something that it can use, and that it needs to thrive and work well. Food is a wonderful thing, I love to cook, and eat. But, it must have a purpose other than to fill my stomach. What vitamins are going into those cells that need it, how can I make sure everything I eat, is for the better. Often I get into this conversations, and have wonderful feedback from everyone. But, once in awhile, I get the void look. As if I have stepped over the line, and they do not want to go there. Which I’m fine with, but I truely and honestly believe, if we were to look at food in the way of how it will benefit my body, and not just my stomach, we will feel so much better. Taking great care of our bodies by eating well, wearing clean, organic clothing, drinking lots of clean, purified water, and exercising will turn your life around for the better. As a mom, I have to make the best choices I can for my baby. That also includes taking care of me as well, so I can be around for her. Organic isn’t just a fad, or a cool thing to do right now. It is the natural, easy, and healthiest thing to do from inside and out.
